Reader's comments:
That profile for #37251 shows a consistent 'spread' of 2 million cubic feet/month of gas produced versus sold ... 66 thousand per day.
Where is it going?Undoubtedly, these wells are employing gas lift for their artificial lift.
It would be informative if the 'AL' category on the well report started right from the outset of production rather than Flowing).
Still, 66k/day is about 4 times higher than what these numbers were from a year or so ago.I have found very little online describing 'new' gas lift technology, but the latest developments indicated that companies are putting small diameter tubes within the ~3 inch production tubing and injecting gas all the way out to the toe.
This produces a venturi-like suction within the 3 incher and helps draw oil back to the base of the vertical.
From there, standard gas valves inject gas sequentially upwards over 2 miles to reduce the 'weight' of the oil while also producing venturi/vacuum effects.I dunno what is going on, but 66 thousand cubic feet a day is a lot of gas.
