BR's Cleo Wells In Croff Oil Field -- March 3, 2017

The wells:

• 16806, 730, BR, Cleo 1-12H, Croff, t5/08; cum 279K 1/17; off-line as of 12/16; no evidence this well has been re-fracked (see FracFocus); but with numbers in 11/13 it's hard to believe this well was not refracked
• 18521, 605, BR, Cleo 2-1H, t4/10; cum 381K 1/17; note jump in production in #16806 at this time (4/10); interestingly this well went from 887 bbls/month to 7,494 bbls/ month and the well was not taken off-line; 
• 25387, 2,664, BR, Cleo 21 -1TFH, t9/13; cum 236K 1/17; off line as of 1/17 (just as #16806 is off-line also; note the huge jump in production in #16806 below in 11/13, at the time this TFH well was fracked
• 23588, 2,832, BR, Cleo 21-1MBH, t9/13; cum 290K 1/17; off line as of 12/16 (just as #16806 and #25387 go off-line); note the huge jump in production in #16806 below in 11/13, at the time this TFH well was fracked

Comment:

Note that three of the four wells have been taken off-line suggesting something going on in the area. In the graphic below, there are four BR wells on confidential list. The question arises: are they about to be fracked?

The Croff oil field has never made my top 20 list among oil fields in the Bakken? Possibly because it's such a small field, but production / well would not be affected by field size. It's located in northeast McKenzie County, southeast of Watford City, near the reservation, near Mountrail County

Update regarding the pads, from a reader, see first comment:

The pad that your arrows point to in Section 2 will be built shortly. The 2 pads to the west are already built and will be drilling pretty soon. This is a 2560 spacing so laterals will go both directions. The west pad will have 5 wells, the central pad 4 wells and the east pad (that your arrows point to) will be 4 wells.

Also note that a couple hundred yards North of the Cleo wells in Section 36 150-96 there are 2 3-well pads indicated. Those locations have not been built yet. All 6 of those wells will go North. They border the Croff field but I think will be classified as Blue Buttes. So there will be a lot of action west and North of the Cleo wells this year.
